Rich aromas of plum fruit with game, licorice and spice combined with smoke and vanillin oak maturation just spices up the senses. The bouquet is followed by a rich and complex palate with powerful flavours of chocolate, coffee, game and pepper with sweet cherry and blackberry flavours carrying through to the finish.
Good weight and length with firm, drying tannins adding to the overall structure and balance of the wine.
Full body, dry, very complex finish. It can be enjoyed with red meats, rich braised dishes or game, full flavoured cheeses like cheddar or Parmesan.
